Meet the Haiti team!

March 6, 2012

Hey everybody!

We can’t even begin to describe to you guys how excited we are to go on this trip! We really appreciate you’re interest in our trip and what we’re going to be working on while in Haiti!  So, a little bit on what we’re going to be doing while we’re down there…

We are leaving on July 11 for a two week trip to a  little town right outside of Port Au Prince called, Fond Parisien.  There, we will be working on the construction of a building which will contain a language and vocation center for the locals.  When we’re not doing that we’ll be helping with VBS at a local church, organizing lessons and activities for the children.

This is basically our trip in a nutshell, alot of construction with amazing opportunities to build relationships with the locals and the children.   As you are all well aware of, Haiti suffered from a massive earthquake, devastating Port Au’ Prince and surrounding areas.  As a result, countless relief and crisis response organizations have gone down to lend aid to the locals.  Because of this, God’s plan is already in action, as groups continue to go down and provide help in whatever way they can.  We are so excited to see how God has been working there and to see how God uses us when we are there, we believe He has a plan and we can’t describe the feeling we have knowing that we are part of that plan.

Over the next month or so before we leave from our trip, we’ll update this blog with posts introducing our team, presenting any prayer requests we may have, or general thoughts that we feel you guys would be interested in.  Thanks again for taking the time to check out Team Haiti 2012!

Much love,

Kaylee, Brinlee, Danae, Connor, Isaac, Lex
